The G7LFC-L Echolink node has today been updated. The node initially used a Acer Travelmate 2300 laptop, with a 1.5GHz Celeron processor. Whilst not state-of-the-art, the new node uses a dual-core AMD 64 X2 5200 processor that should reduce any interruptions to the transmitted/received audio during Echolink contacts.

We’ve been testing a weather station on another PC and the data collection and web broadcast software has now been merged on to the new node PC with a view to integrating both systems at some point in the near future.
