OK, this will no doubt bore the pants off you, but here goes anyway.
Born in ‘Royal’ Kingston-upon-Thames in 1964, I was adopted at the age if six months and was brought up to Lancashire where I have remained for most of my life. I now live in the picturesque market town of Ormskirk atop a hill on the edge of the West Lancashire Plain.
Now a full-fledged Lancastrian (and a member of the Friends of Real Lancashire), married to Alison with two children (David and Rebecca), I enjoy several hobbies including Amateur Radio (callsign G7LFC), photography, walking and motorsport (mainly rallying and British Touring Cars).
Between 1991 and 2003 I was the Network Manager at PKF Liverpool, an international firm of accountants. However, following being made redundant in 2003 I returned to full time education and graduated from Lancaster University, having studied at Edge Hill, with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Web Systems Development in 2007. I am now a lecturer at Southport College delivering courses in computer science and electronics engineering and have also obtained a PGCE (also from Edge Hill).
There you go (Oi! Wake up at the back there!) that wasn’t too bad was it.
